The River House

About This Build

This classically styled outbuilding is called The River House for its commanding views of the James River. The first floor features a textile arts studio with a woodstove, plenty of work surfaces, and efficient custom-built storage.

The second story office has floor-to-ceiling custom oak cabinetry, reclaimed heart-pine beams and a tongue-and-groove ceiling made from wood that was salvaged from an outbuilding taken down on the property. The brick behind each floor’s woodstove was also salvaged on grounds.
