Every project begins with an initial meeting to understand your vision, to tell you about how we work, and to discuss your budget. If it’s a new house, we’d be glad to walk your property; if a remodel or addition, we can visit you at your home to discuss the improvements you’d like to make. Either way, we’d like to review your architectural plans and specs. If you’re not there yet, we can discuss your ideas and help you find the right architect or designer. Our goal at this first meeting is for you to have a clear understanding of the stages of construction, how changes can impact scheduling and pricing, and to see if Rockpile is a good fit for you.
Once we have agreed we’d like to work together, we’ll distribute the construction drawings and specifications to our preferred subcontractors and vendors. It’s at this stage that we create a realistic cost of construction. We’ll provide you with a comprehensive estimate, including allowance options, and generate a preliminary timeline for construction of the project.
Once reviewed and agreed to, this information will be drawn up and presented in a formal Construction Contract, for your approval and signing.
With a signed contract in place, we get to work. Construction begins with the ground breaking and ends when the final item on the punch list is complete. Transparency is key: we provide you with detailed updates of the work in progress, material samples for approval if you need them, revised schedules and most important, detailed financial reports.
To suit your needs during construction, we can tailor your experience so you can be as involved as you want to be. Our online project management program helps keep you informed as we coordinate all construction elements, schedule, and trades; it’s a space where you can monitor, comment, and participate in the construction of your home.
We also offer regularly scheduled in person status meetings, keeping you personally in touch with a representative from Rockpile.
Once a client, you’re always a part of the Rockpile family. By law, we offer you a one year warranty on the work we did for you; but we’re only a phone call or email away should anything come later.
We stand behind our work—and we’re not going anywhere. And we take pride in the fact that we’re often asked to return and tackle other projects for our satisfied homeowners.
New homes and renovations are often the single biggest investment our clients make. Stewardship of your time and money is not a responsibility we take lightly.
